How the 2026 fall season works: scheduling, scoring, standings, and playoffs.

1How the season works
This is a flex league. No league night, no assigned court, no fixed schedule. You are given your opponents, and you decide together when and where you play.
You play in the Beginner or Intermediate division, and every opponent on your list is in your division. Against each of them you may play up to three matches, best of three games each.
Three is a ceiling, not a quota. Play one, play all three, play none. Standings are built from what actually gets played, so teams that schedule more have more chances to bank wins.
A match uses one of your three the moment it is accepted, not when it is played. One match played plus two on the calendar means that team is full: the board shows 3/3 and Accept switches off.
2Season calendar
Weeks run Sunday to Saturday. Nothing is due in a particular week. They exist so you can pace yourselves, and three matches per opponent is a lot to leave until October.
12:00pm to 4:00pm at Pickleball Charlotte, Sharon Lakes. Meet the teams in your division, get your bearings on the format, and play some pickleball. Come even if you have not sorted a partner yet, since it is the easiest place to find one.
The season opens the same day, so you can start posting matches on the board right after.
3Scheduling a match
Everything happens on the league dashboard. Sign in with the team code from your welcome email. That is all you need: the league fills itself in once your team loads. Keep the code inside your team, since it is what identifies you.

Post a match
Pick a date, time and location, add a note if useful, and post. Your proposal goes on the open board for everyone in your division.

Someone accepts
You are not posting to one specific team. Anyone in your division can take it, first come first served, and you both get a confirmation email.

Or accept an open one
The board lists every open proposal with the posting team and how many of your three matches against them are spoken for.
Reading the board
- 0/3 to 2/3 green. Room left, accept away.
- 3/3 red. All three used, Accept is off.
Hover the badge for the split, because used and played differ. "1 played, 2 scheduled" is still a full three.
If nobody accepts and the date passes, the proposal cancels itself and leaves the board. You get an email, and you can post a new one any time.
4Playing the match
Best of three games, played to 11, win by 2. Two games wins the match, so every match ends 2–0 or 2–1.
Doubles, standard rules, call your own lines. No referee and no clock, so settle anything unusual between yourselves before the first serve.

5Reporting the score
Either team reports, whoever gets to it first. It only happens once per match, so agree before you leave the court on who is submitting.
Open the match, hit Report, and enter the points from every game played, your score first. Standings update immediately.
What the form will not accept
- A missing game 1 or game 2. Both are always required.
- A game 3 score when someone already won the first two. Leave it blank.
- A blank game 3 when the first two were split. It is required.
- Any result that is not 2–0 or 2–1. A tied game counts for neither side.
Any of those messages is almost always a typo. Fix the number and resubmit.
6Standings and tiebreakers
Match wins come first. Teams level on wins are separated by the two differentials below, in order.

So the losing team's points still matter. Taking a game off a stronger team, or losing 11–9 instead of 11–2, moves you up against everyone you are tied with. Your own row is highlighted, and the table opens on the page your team is on.
7Playoffs
The top eight per division make it, seeded by final standings. Everything happens in week 9, Nov 1 to 7.
We book the courts for playoff week. The early rounds stay flexible: quarterfinal teams can arrange their own time and play earlier in the week, the same way as the regular season.
Semifinals and the championship are played on the booked courts, on the day we set. Those two rounds are not flex-scheduled. Times go out once week 8 closes.
The three-matches-per-opponent limit does not apply in the playoffs. A playoff match stands on its own, even against a team you already played three times.
A match played in week 8 but reported in November does not count toward seeding. If you are near the cut line, report the day you play.
8DUPR reporting
DUPR is optional and decided match by match, not once for the season. There is a checkbox when you post, and the board shows whether a proposal is DUPR-rated before you accept.
If either team would rather stay off DUPR, leave it unchecked. It changes nothing about how the match counts in league standings.
9When things go sideways
We could not play all three
Nothing happens. Unplayed matches do not count, and there is no forfeit or penalty.
We need to cancel a match that was set
Cancel it as soon as you know, so the slot frees up. A cancelled match does not use one of your three.
The team we want is showing 3/3
You are done with them for the regular season. Post to the open board instead.
We played a fourth by mistake
It cannot be reported and will not count. Contact us beforehand if you think you need a fourth.
A score we submitted is wrong
Reports cannot be edited. Send us the match, the date, and the correct score, and we will fix it.
